Seguramente ya hayas recogido la decoración navideña, incluso habrás tenido ocasión de cambiar algún regalo. En realidad, hace solamente una semana que estabas disfrutando de la magia de la Noche de Reyes, colocabas los paquetes que habías tenido escondidos, comías por triplicado algunos gajos de mandarina y un poco de turrón cuando los demás ya dormían y, al cabo de unas horas, alguien te despertaba con la ilusión que le acompañaras a ver los regalos que los tres Reyes Magos habían dejado.
Supongo que coincidiremos en haber regalado perfumes alguna vez. También música. Pues inspirándose en la película «El Perfume», el cantante estadounidense Michael Halden Adreas eligió Perfume Genius como el nombre artístico para regalarnos su música. ¡Y qué regalo! Precisamente hoy comentaba con un amigo eso de que en tiempos difíciles crecen genios de fortaleza mental, y este señor no lo tuvo nada fácil.
En esta maravilla a ritmo de vals, Perfume Genius nos habla de amor, de la importancia de la empatía y de reconfortar y comprender a los demás para ayudarles a superar las dificultades. Aunque en esta canción tiene más protagonismo la guitarra, es el piano el instrumento que predomina más en el resto del álbum, el cual me gustaría que escucharais prestando especial atención al tema que le da título: «Put Your Back N 2 It».
Espero que a los Reyes Magos les sirva la música que recomiendo hoy como acompañamiento para viajar de vuelta a casa siguiendo la estela de la Cama Voladora.
